Financial content may describe a service, explain a process, advertise an offer or discuss a money-related topic. A review workflow helps teams identify which statements need a specialist, compliance or legal check before they are published. The right process depends on the product, audience and jurisdictions involved.
Record The Claim And Its Context
For every material statement, capture the exact wording, intended audience, market, product version, source and date. Identify whether the sentence is a general product fact, a benefit claim, a comparison, a recommendation or an outcome prediction. The visual context matters too: a headline, testimonial or image can imply more than a footnote says.

Assign Qualified Reviewers And Approval Gates
Name a product owner who can confirm current features and terms. Add compliance or legal review where the content falls within a regulated area. A writer or editor can improve clarity but should not approve technical financial claims outside their expertise. Define who can authorize publication and what happens if reviewers disagree.
The FCA’s UK guidance explains expectations for financial promotions on social media, including balanced communication and consumer understanding. It is market-specific; other jurisdictions may have different rules. Get appropriate local review instead of transferring one regulator’s guidance across countries.

Keep A Change And Correction Record
Store the approved version, source record, reviewer, approval date and a trigger for rechecking. Triggers may include a fee or eligibility change, a new product version, updated regulatory guidance, a correction request or a broken destination. Revisit scheduled assets and linked articles when the source changes.
